The limits that matter in 2026: X holds at 280 characters (25,000 for Premium), Instagram and TikTok captions cap at 2,200, LinkedIn posts at 3,000, Pinterest descriptions at 500, Snapchat Spotlight at 160 — and Facebook's famous 63,206. But the cut-off is the real constraint: Instagram shows ~125 characters before "…more", LinkedIn ~210, TikTok ~80. Write for the cut-off.
